इंग्लैंड की टीम ने पहली बार क्रिकेट के इतिहास में एकदिवसीय विश्व कप जीता. उस समय इंग्लैंड के कप्तान इयोन मॉर्गन थे. मॉर्गन उन खिलाड़ियों में से एक हैं जिन्होंने दो देशो के लिए खेला है. उन्होंने आयरलैंड की टीम के लिए भी खेला है.
अब उन्होंने विश्व कप विजेता कप्तान होने के कारण इंग्लैंड की महारानी द्वारा सीबीई नाम का अवार्ड दिया जा रहा है. जिसे देश के लिए अच्छा करने पर मिलता है. उनको इस सम्मान मिलने के कारण कई लोग नाराज हैं. जो सोशल मीडिया पर अपनी नाराजगी व्यक्त रहे हैं. कई लोगो ने उन्हें दूसरे देश का नागरिक बता कर इस अवार्ड को ना देने की बात की है.
