Saha to keep in #IndvSA Test series. While it’s fair Penalise Pant for not taking his chances in white ball cricket, he’s done exceedingly well in Tests. A Century in England, a century in Aus…first Indian keeper to do so. Record number of dismissals in Aus to boot. 1/2

The decision to have Saha keep wickets in the home tests is a clear signal on the kind of wickets that we can expect and therefore, the kind of skills needed. There was never any doubt that Saha is the best keeper in the country, the call was always about Pant and the future

Rishabh Pant has lost form and confidence in white-ball #cricket. What does India team management do to boost his confidence? He is dropped from the Test XI, in a format where he has done consistently well #INDvSA

Have no issues whatsoever with Saha playing. Good luck to him, he is probably the best keeper in the side but what next? The side doesn't seem to be planning long term. Too many short term goals. Saha may not be around after two years, Pant's progress is halted despite scoring

Pant dropped from the Test format where he's broken few records because of his white ball cricket issues. This management will drop Bumrah too some day.
And If you don't need him for the series, let him play for Delhi then.

Just days after Ravi Shastri said he'll back Rishabh Pant to the hilt comes the news that he's been dropped from the Test XI for South Africa.
— Shashank Kishore (@captainshanky) October 1, 2019
Within days of coach Ravi Shastri saying that they will back @RishabhPant17 to the hilt, the team management has pushed him out of the Test XI! when Pant came it was about his keeping, now as he is dropped, it's about his batting! Words have little meaning… #INDvSA #IndVsSA

With Hanuma Vihari as the specialist batsman at 6 and with Ashwin and Jadeja perfectly capable batsmen, India could look at pure keeping skills for the home series. And while Pant is hugely promising, he too will be aware that Saha is currently the better keeper on turning tracks

the rap on the knuckles is here…#INDvSA

Good to see Wriddhiman Saha back in the Test side. https://t.co/lcR0HXbq3L

Saha's keeping is better is a bullshit defence..
Pant's keeping will improve with time not by dropping him at whim..
— Ekita (@LostByWaves) October 1, 2019
Pant isn't technically sound WK against spinners & when Ashwin & Jadeja are likely to play team management preferred Saha who is a technically brilliant WK.

Saha over Pant!
Guys has an average of 44.35 in 11 Tests with 100s in England and Australia.
What are the Indian management smoking?
— Rohit Sankar (@imRohit_SN) October 1, 2019
Not fair on pant but not surprised they went with saha..far better wk than pant especially for spinners..
— Santosh k (@Santossskk) October 1, 2019
Saha is the player they were ready to discard after a couple of knocks from Pant.
The utter clowns. https://t.co/EJvPYG9rIp
— Alagappan Vijayakumar (@IndianMourinho) October 1, 2019
Excellent decision.. Saha keeping abilities are great compared to pant. Its not easy to keep against spinners in india.
— no name (@Ntr27gnt) October 1, 2019
But Pant? Rohit was mediocre in ODIs for long time. Virat had a bad time in 2014. Rahul did fuckall for most matches. All of them were still backed by captain because they saw potential. Pant has both. In contrast to above cases, he has done well recently & should be backed. Alas
